                           Our Appreciation!
Thank you to our many volunteers, including Board Members, Interns, Parents, Friends, Past ETL students, Community Members, United Way Day of Caring Participants, Job Club Assistants, Bakers, Office Help, and, to Facebook Friends!....all of you!  We couldn't do what we do without you!  Please know how very much you are appreciated!
Thank you to the Oscar Plotkin Family Foundation, and to Oscar, for all of the kindness, the caring, the visits to NYC, and, the interest in our students.  Many memories have been created, many adventures had, and, much encouragent given.  Thank you for the monetary support over years given to encourage, generate interest in life beyond students' own door steps, and, to promote the building of skills learned hands on.  Oscar is a hero.
Kennebunk Savings Bank has been a strong supporter of ETL since the beginning, helping with everything from an arts program and displaying student art to sponsoring our yearly Wine Tasting and Silent to Live Auction!  Employees contribute through the United Way of York County and always warmly greet us as we walk through the door!  Many thanks!  We so appreciate the Community Ballots, the sponsorships, and, in 2012, KSB sponsored our Young Mothers Support Group.

People's United Community Foundation awarded ETL a $4,000.00 grant to support general operations to enable ETL to serve more students in promoting the skills that are needed to succeed in adult life!  Thank you, very much!  AND, in 2012, People's United awarded ETL $2,500.00!
Established in 2007, the People's United Community Foundation was formed to help support programs and activities that enhance the quality of life for citizens in the communities that People's United Bank serves.  With special emphasis on programs designed to promote economic self-sufficiency, education, and improved conditions for low-income families and neighborhoods, the funding priorities of the Foundation include: community development, youth development, and, affordable housing.

The United Way of York County has been very supportive of ETL....providing $12,000.00 to support SpringboardME last year as we launched an outreach effort to bring ETL services to towns throughout Southern York County.  ETL staff and volunteers have also attended many trainings provided by UWYC, and, one year, three of our youth were recognized by being awarded the Starfish Award for Service.  UWYC also includes ETL in the annual CCF.  Thank you UWYC!
United Way of the Greater Seacoast has provided the Volunteer Action Center where ETL lists volunteer opportunities, has provided many trainings for staff and volunteers, and, has sent wonderful crews of volunteers for Days of Caring!  United Way also provides listed agencies with unbelievable resources!
Thank you, UWGS!
Bob's Clam Hut has been a staunch supporter of ETL for years now!  Always a sponsor for our Annual Wine Tasting and Silent to Live Auction in November, Bob's and their customers have recently sent a generous $500.00 donation from their Community Tip Cups and Customer Credit Tips.  Many thanks to all at Bob's!  Click on the Bob's sign to check out their specials....you can't come to Maine without stopping at Bob's!
Leeward Landing in York has been a supporter of Ethel's Tree of Life Monthly Food Shopping ever since the thrift store opened!  Sending a monthly check of at least $200.00 (and when they can, more!) to assist our families with monthly supplies, and our students with meals, these hard working folks certainly know how to make a difference!  Many thanks to all at Leeward Landing Thrift Store....thanks to them, many area agencies who assist families with the basic necessity of food are able to help families keep their pantries stocked.  They work long hard hours to do so, so remember to stop at their two stores on Route One in York and to bring by your donations!

Along with all of the above,
Ethel's Tree of Life would like to thank:

Louise and the Board of Directors of the South Berwick Youth Barn for welcoming ETL, and, for the provision of office and activity space.

Jim Mills at ReMax in Portsmouth for monthly use of his van for Food Shopping

Bob's Clam Hut for donations of $500.00 this summer to support ETL and their $500.00 sponsorship of our 4th Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction!

The team of volunteers for A Day of Caring through the United Way of the Greater Seacoast for our gardens and indoor work.

Cassie Devalk, Lindsey MacLeod, and the many volunteers that made Job Club a success!

Area businesses like Boson's Landing, Sheldon's, Panda and Sukura, the Goldenrod, Garfields, the York Beach Village Market, and, all who support ETL,

The Town of York for assistance for York residents in the amount of $500.00

Our appreciation goes out to Booth Hemmingway and all at Piscataqua Landscaping for all of their help through the years with landscape design, plowing, maintenance, and, more!
